I never understood what I did I tried to smile and to laugh I tried to get good grades and be a good kid So why did you hit me? Why did you call me names? Why did you tell me such twisted things? Why were you surprised when I cried? Or the time you found my diary? Why were you upset when you found that I'd cut into my skin? When I carved I'm sorry though my thighs?
